| Small Claims Advisory Service The Small Claims Advisory Service (SCAS is a student-run volunteer group under the Phillips Brooks House Association of Harvard College. SCAS's mission is to provide information free-of-charge about Massachusetts small claims court, which covers civil cases under $2000 and does not require the aid of an attorney. Services include a phone hotline, an email query address, face-to-face appointments at their community offices, informational workshops, and bilingual resources, among others.
